iHope Network is working to provide Managing Stress around COVID-19 – a confidential support group helping students manage their stress around COVID-19 related events. This series of groups will be free.

To help those who are social distancing, self-quarantining, or concerned about the virus, the support groups are delivered though video conferencing. The support group is available beginning on April 27th and is offered on Thursdays at 5:30 pm EST. The final workshop will be held on May 13th.

Check out the calendar below for a preview of the topics. Feel free to use the resources under “Materials for Everyone” regardless of whether you plan to join us.

This confidential support group will provide a safe, supportive space to discuss any COVID-19 related concerns or feelings that are impacting you, your family or your community.

Recognizing signs of distress, healthy coping strategies to manage stress, practicing effective self-care, & ways of supporting your community will be discussed.

Updated information on COVID-19 and resource sheets will also be shared.

Ariel Wallen, LICSW

Ariel Wallen, LICSW graduated from Brandeis ’91 and BU SSW ’94. She has had years of experiences working with children, teens, adults and families. She joined iHope Network in November of 2019 where she has flourished while working with college students and adults,  She lives on the North Shore of Boston with her two teen boys and enjoys running her puppy on the beach when it’s time to let the day go.

Erin Story, LICSW

Erin has experience working with clients with a wide variety of needs and diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and post traumatic stress disorder. The majority of her work has been serving adolescents and adults.
